Air India plans to downsize ops post ₹28,000 cr FY26 loss: Report

Air India is planning to cut flights, defer aircraft deliveries, and postpone expansion plans after suffering losses of about $3 billion (over ₹28,000 crore) in FY26, Bloomberg reported. The airline is in talks with Airbus and Boeing to delay about 500 aircraft deliveries. It has reduced flights on several routes and is reassessing plans to launch services to new destinations.
