Anthropic's Head of Policy Sarah Heck has denied the US government's allegations that the startup sought an approval role in military operations. Calling this misleading, Under Secretary of War Emil Michael said Heck "begged" to see how Anthropic could fix its behaviour. Anthropic sued the Pentagon after being blacklisted over its refusal to support mass surveillance and autonomous weapons.
