Apple awarded rare bonuses to iPhone hardware designers this week, aiming to curb departures to AI startups like OpenAI that are building their own devices, Bloomberg reported. The company granted out-of-cycle bonuses worth up to $400,000 (around ₹3.8 crore) to many iPhone Product Design team members, it added. The bonuses were reportedly issued as stock units vesting over four years.
