CBIC said it's initiating a vigilance investigation, which will be completed in 4-6 weeks, over Wintrack's bribery allegations against Chennai Customs officials. It said it has transferred the accused officers and suspended Customs broker agent's license. "Finance Ministry's report indicates possibility of cheating and private fraud by [Wintrack's] own agents and intermediaries," CBIC added.
