Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved upGrad's proposed merger with Unacademy and its stake acquisition in their parent company, Sorting Hat Technologies. Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal announced in March that it had signed a term sheet to be acquired by upGrad in a 100% share swap deal. Munjal had said the transaction's value would be disclosed after papers are filed.
