China hikes fuel prices twice in 2 weeks amid US-Iran war

China announced that it will raise fuel prices for the second time in just over two weeks, citing an increase in global oil prices amid the US-Iran war. In a bid to mitigate rapid hikes, China also imposed a cap on price increases, reducing petrol and diesel increases from 800 yuan and 770 yuan to 420 yuan and 400 yuan/tonne.
