A Chinese employee was fired after he was found to have walked 16,000 steps on a day he called in sick for foot pain. The man, however, later won the unlawful termination case against the company in court and won 118,779 yuan (around ₹15 lakh) in compensation. The 2019 incident has gone viral after China's Justice Ministry shared it online.
