US-based electric vehicle startup Rivian on Tuesday said it was laying off hundreds of workers, accounting for less than 2% of its workforce. The layoffs will impact teams in the service and customer segments as the firm tries to scale profitability. The firm incurred a loss of $3.6 billion last year and delivered 42,247 vehicles, company filings showed.
