Indian Railways has approved the introduction of major national and global food brands, such as McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Haldiram's and Baskin Robbins, at railway stations under a new 'Premium Brand Catering Outlets' category. Implemented through the e-auction system, the initiative aims to improve hygiene, quality, and dining standards. Outlets will operate via brands with five-year licenses.
