Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) invested over ₹12,900 crore in Indian equities in the first week of August. The inflow follows a ₹20,200-crore investment in July, marking a sharp turnaround from a four-month selling streak. Improved macroeconomic conditions, expectations of US rate cuts, lower crude oil prices and a stable rupee have driven the recent inflows.
