The government unlocked over ₹10,000 crore through asset monetisation at state‑owned telecom firms BSNL and MTNL, NDTV Profit reported. The monetisation exercise released ₹3,000 crore at BSNL and nearly ₹7,000 crore at MTNL through the sale of land parcels, non‑core and unproductive assets across the country. The proceeds will be used to service MTNL's mounting debt and outstanding bank dues.
