Deendayal Port Authority in Kutch District of Gujarat has advanced methanol bunkering, achieving Level 6 readiness and conducting a successful shore-to-ship trial on April 2, 2026. The port plans 500 KTPA e-methanol supply by 2028–29 to support green shipping corridors. The move strengthens India’s push for net-zero maritime emissions by 2050 and boosts global trade competitiveness.
