CBI arrested Gurugram-based Darwin Labs' CTO Ayush Varshney in the ₹20,000-crore GainBitcoin cryptocurrency scam. Authorities detained him at Mumbai airport while he was trying to flee the country. Darwin Labs is accused of developing the entire technological infrastructure for the GainBitcoin Ponzi scheme, including the Bitcoin Payment Gateway. This is the first arrest by the agency in the case.
