The cost of home-cooked vegetarian thalis declined by YoY 8% in June, and that of non-vegetarian thalis reduced by YoY 6%, Crisil reported. This comes due to a drop in vegetable prices, with tomato prices falling YoY 24% in June from ₹42/kg to ₹32/kg. An estimated 3% on-year decline in broiler prices contributed towards the decline in non-vegetarian thali cost.
