Japan suspended imports of Indian mangoes, 20 years after resuming them, after a single inspection of a quarantine facility in UP's Rehmanpur. According to The Print, this was done after Japanese inspectors found deficiencies in fumigation protocols and disinfection measures during their annual inspection. The quarantine process is a mandatory prerequisite for Indian mangoes imported by Japan.
