The protest by Noida factory workers, who were demanding a wage hike, brought minimum wages in NCR states into focus. As per India Today, unskilled workers earn ₹710/day in Delhi, ₹585/day in Haryana and ₹500/day in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, skilled workers in the three states earn ₹862/day, ₹712/day and ₹616/day, respectively. Thus, UP's revised wages remain below Delhi and Haryana.
