RBI has cancelled the banking licence of Paytm Payments Bank (PPBL), four years after barring it from onboarding new users. Paytm-parent One 97 Communications clarified that this will not affect UPI users on the Paytm app as it has no exposure or material business arrangements with PPBL. The matter of licence revocation is related to "a separate entity", Paytm said.
