IIT Roorkee researchers have developed a new silicon–perovskite solar cell that could reach 30% efficiency. The team is using a simple four-layer design and plans to scale it through slot-die coating. A startup will soon take the innovation to market, supporting India’s solar self-reliance and boosting clean energy made with local technology.
