US President Donald Trump said he plans to sue JPMorgan Chase within the next two weeks, accusing the bank of "incorrectly and inappropriately debanking" him after the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Trump denied offering JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon the Federal Reserve Chair role. JPMorgan says it does not close accounts based on political or religious beliefs.
