SEBI has put General Manager Achal Singh under immediate suspension in a late-night crackdown for allegedly interfering in an ongoing investigation into C2C Advances Systems and misusing his official position to extort money, Businessworld reported. SEBI barred Singh from entering any office premises of the regulator. It also clarified that Singh will only be paid a subsistence allowance.
