India 4th largest forex reserves holder at $688 billion: RBI

India's foreign exchange reserves rose for the eighth consecutive week to $688.1 billion for the period ended April 25, as per RBI data. This makes India the fourth-largest holder of foreign exchange reserves globally after China, Japan and Switzerland. Additionally, India's foreign currency assets rose to $580.6 billion for the week ended April 25.
