India to roll out common KYC system for banks, insurers: Report

Indian banks and insurers will launch a common customer identification system, Central Know-Your-Customer 2.0 (CKYC 2.0), in August, with mutual funds joining later, Reuters reported. Customers can access financial products without repeatedly submitting KYC documents. The upgraded platform will assign confidence scores and indicate whether customer information has been verified.
