LPG losses suffered by Indian oil marketing companies are expected to decrease by 45% in FY26 if crude oil prices remain at $65/barrel, a report stated. Losses are incurred when oil companies sell LPG cylinders below their cost price, as prices are regulated by government for affordable cooking-gas. India's LPG consumption in recent years has grown faster than domestic production.
