Raj Subramaniam, Indian-origin CEO of FedEx, is facing criticism for allegedly using funds from a $2.24-billion federal contract to hire H-1B workers while laying off US employees. According to Dallas Express, immigration data showed a rise in FedEx's hiring of foreign workers after contract was awarded in 2022. FedEx's H-1B employee count increased from two dozen to 500 by 2025.
