India's fuel consumption rose in June despite supply-chain disruptions caused by tensions in the Middle East and higher retail prices, preliminary data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell showed. Demand for petrol rose to 3,768 thousand metric tonnes (TMT), up 7% from the year-ago period, while diesel consumption rose 5.52% to 8,552 TMT, according to the data.
