India's merchandise trade deficit narrowed to a five-month low of $24.53 billion in November. Merchandise exports in the month rose by 19.37% to $38.13 billion, while imports fell 1.9% to $62.66 billion. Lower gold, oil and coal imports, along with an increase in exports to the US, contributed to the decline in the deficit.
