The managed service provider for the Income Tax Department's e-Filing portal has faced contractual penalties over delays, application outages and poor service, Minister Pankaj Chaudhary said. He added that taxpayers may experience temporary technical issues during peak filing periods due to heavy traffic. Despite the increased load, the e-Filing portal has remained largely stable, he said.
