K'taka startup builds microwave-powered systems to make hydrogen, nanocarbon

Karnataka-based deeptech startup Enerzi is building microwave plasma-based systems to produce clean hydrogen and carbon nanopowder from methane. Carbon nanopowder is used in batteries, coatings, and conductive materials, and hydrogen is seen as a strategic fuel for sectors such as steel, chemicals and heavy mobility. The firm raised about ₹20 crore in its last funding round, eyeing global markets.
