Nissan Motor, Uber Technologies and British startup Wayve said on ​Thursday they will collaborate to develop robotaxis through a pilot programme in Tokyo by late 2026. The plan involves Nissan Leaf electric vehicles equipped with Wayve's ​self-driving technology, available to customers ⁠via Uber, the companies said. The initial phase will include trained ‌safety ⁠drivers in the vehicles.
