NSE pays ₹40 crore to SEBI to settle data sharing case

NSE paid ₹40.35 crore to SEBI to settle a case involving the indirect sharing of confidential information on listed companies with a third-party vendor. SEBI found NSE shared price-sensitive corporate announcements with its unit NDAL, which passed them to the vendor without legally binding agreement. NSE further violated disclosure norms by releasing data before it was published on its website.
