Pimpri-Chinchwad is planning a Metro-style Electric Rapid Transit system featuring three-coach electric vehicles that will operate on dedicated road corridors instead of railway tracks. The proposed project aims to provide faster, cleaner and more affordable public transport while reducing congestion and avoiding the high costs of building conventional metro rail infrastructure.
