Indian Railways is upgrading its Passenger Reservation System to handle up to 1.5 lakh ticket bookings per minute, nearly five times the current capacity. The cloud-based platform will reduce server failures, improve Tatkal booking performance, and introduce AI-powered waitlist predictions. Alongside a revamped IRCTC website, the upgrade aims to deliver a faster, smoother, booking experience.
