RBI on Friday cancelled the banking licence of Paytm Payments Bank, barring it from undertaking any banking business. The regulator said the bank's affairs were conducted in a manner detrimental to depositors' interests and that it failed to comply with licence conditions. RBI also said it'll make an application for the winding up of the bank before the High Court.
