The Road Transport Ministry is planning to introduce digital monthly and annual toll passes for residents living within a 20-km radius of toll plazas. Linked to FASTag and verified through Aadhaar, the passes will allow unlimited crossings and are expected to simplify travel under India's barrier-less tolling system while reducing toll-related disputes and violations by local commuters.
