SEBI has proposed valuing gold and silver Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to domestic prices from the current London Bullion Market Association AM rates, which use US dollars. The current multi-step process causes inconsistencies among asset management firms, resulting in the same gold or silver being valued differently across funds. SEBI's proposal aims to standardise the valuation across funds.
