The student visa processing capacity of US embassy and consulates in India has been reduced following US government's additional security measures, External Affairs Ministry said. The added scrutiny requires applicants to make their social media handles public and list their usernames used in the last five years. However, the embassy is working to open limited number of student visa appointments.
