US government allowed Anthropic to release its most powerful AI model, Mythos 5, to 100 companies and federal agencies while still keeping Fable 5's access restricted. This comes two weeks after it ordered Anthropic to restrict the models' access to foreign nationals, following which Anthropic completely suspended their access. US said it has determined that "appropriate safeguards are in place".
