US-Iran war skyrockets Russian crude oil prices to 13-year high

Russia's Urals crude prices rose to a 13-year high amid the Iran-US war, according to Bloomberg. Urals reached as high as $116.05/barrel on April 2, almost twice as high as the average $59/barrel assumed in Russia's budget for 2026. Further, Ukraine has increased strikes on seaports, including the Baltic coast, from where 40% of Russia's seaborne crude is shipped.
