After PM Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping, China said "Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, advocated by older generation of leaders over 70 years ago, must be cherished". It said the countries should work together for border peace, adding that border issues shouldn't define their ties. It also sought to strengthen "multilateral collaboration" and promote "a multipolar world".
