Billionaire Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding celebration is estimated to have an overall economic impact 957 million euros (over ₹9,500 crore) on Venice, which is equivalent to 68% of the city's annual tourism turnover, as per Italian Tourism Ministry. Of this, only 3% represents the expenses of their around 200 guests and 1.8% represents indirect expenses like transportation.
