Under the US-China trade deal, US will impose 55% tariffs on Chinese goods, down from 145%. In return, China will impose 10% tariff on goods it imports from US, down from 125%. China will supply US with rare earth elements vital to major US companies. US also agreed to allow Chinese students to continue studying in American institutions.
