Google announced it'll be onboarding Varun Mohan and buying a non-exclusive license for technologies of his software development startup Windsurf in a $2.4-billion deal, months after OpenAI tried doing the same. Son of Indian immigrant parents, Mohan grew up in California and has Bachelor's and Master's degrees from US' MIT. He previously interned at LinkedIn, Quora and Databricks.
